ln this concerto many of the studies in the book occur, especially in the jazz genre. There are
examples of staccato and beat to beat practicing as described in exercises 22 and 25. There are
many examples of alternate fingerings described throughout the book. As a jazz piece, there are
many examples of jazz techniques, including note bending (exercise 29). Three examples
